Brenda emails YHN about not attending the meeting

once again it seems that you find us unimportant enough to even have the decency to attend a meeting and explain what is going on with the windows.once again threats about our web site.freedom of speech has always been one of our constitutional rights in this country and as long as they are not libelous then I believe they should be allowed to be given freely.i am only one of the concerned residents of the three sisters residents group but believe me when i say that we will fight for the right to have our say and we will always try to be civil in our meetings with you but please give us the satisfaction of meeting yourselves face to face and do not hide behind threats and notices of legal investigations as we are only normal people you are dealing with and not some terrorist organisation.

YHN's response:
Brenda

Thank you for your response.

I would like to confirm that YHN are happy with freedom of speech our concern is that the issue with the design of the stairwell windows appears to have been blown out of proportion. I would like to restate that the Fire Service are happy with our response and understand that YHN acted in good faith achieving the relevant certification for the windows. We have now set up a new process to ensure the discrepancy between the certification and Building Control cannot occur in the future.

I would like to confirm that YHN have always been willing to meet with your Group-at the last Public Meeting we agreed to a further meeting which has been deferred at your Groups request-the meeting on Friday seemed contrary to that agreement. We also only received the invitation on Tuesday to the meeting-if we’d had a bit more notice then attendance may have been possible. Ann Todd Mills also made an offer to Paul Baker for representatives from your group to meet ahead of your Public Meeting with John Lee to discuss the issues but this was also declined.

I would like to suggest that myself and John Lee meet with a few reps from your Group to talk through the issues and agree a way forward. If you are in agreement if you could suggest some dates and times and I will coordinate calendars.

I would also be grateful if once your independent survey is complete that you send that to either myself or Ann and we can ensure we are prepared for your next meeting.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Well i'd advise if Jen Vinton and John Lee want to attend our sunday meetings then they could be quite welcome to attend. otherwise they should arrange to meet with at least 6 of the commitee at a suitable time, so that there is some back up of what is said there.
Thanks J
